Silence is Broken

Silence is Broken is a short film by Chris Read and James Pearson-Howes and produced by P.G Film, commissioned for the Channel 4 series “Random Acts”.

Presented as a reimagining of British Folklore, Silence is Broken loosely takes inspiration from the 19th century Luddite movement of displaced workers at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution.

For the original score we produced a deep and brooding track that pairs deep drones with menacing electronics and traditional folk hand drumming. Original lyrics come courtesy of cult grime lyricist and 1-800 Dinosaur record artist, Trim.
