Social Enterprise- Crónica del Graffiti

In 2014 I founded Crónica del Graffiti with the objective of highlighting and informing about Chilean urban art and artists, giving recognition to their work and changing the preconceptions and prejudices often associated with them. Such an endeavor involved researching artists, styles and events in order to select urban artists and events to be showcased; deciding on approaches to interview street artists and sometimes conducting such interviews; leading a multidisciplinary team in creating meaningful and engaging context to upload to instagram and facebook. It also entailed a high degree of tact, as it involved communicating and working with people from very different backgrounds (from government officials, to corporations, to street artists themselves). It also required an acute understanding of the public we were writing for and how to expand our audience to more people.
