SØSTER magazine was produced for my Final Major Project. I saw a gap in the market for a female centric publication that wasn't destructive, or encouraged women to judge themselves and each other on intelligence and wit, rather than the way the look.
The content included; interview with co-founder of All Walks Beyond the Catwalk and fashion activist, Caryn Franklin; photoshoot directed and styled by me and collaborating with a make-up and prosthetics artist and photographer, articles about subverting beauty written by me, paintings, illustrations both digital and hand created also done by me. I really enjoyed working on this as I love to collaborate and was very passionate about the work I was researching, and also won an award from the Creative Conscience for it.
