Soul-d Magazine

  • Dora Tarasidou
Soul-d in its pronunciation is similar to the word ‘sold’. Living in a modern stereotyped society, women are ready to give away or “sell” their individuality in order to fit the beauty standards that mass media promote.
The aim of this non-profit, publication is to explore and oppose towards these beauty standards and portray an alternative option to what magazines promote.
Nowadays, even artists, designers or photographers are facing difficulties in entering the media world in order to publish their work. This publication will give the opportunity to young, talented artist and emerging designers to promote their work and provide a space to express themselves. Soul-d will also enable artists to experiment with topics that are prohibited from mainstream media.
