South Sounds is a start-up company, intending to establish a creative, multi-use music production and rehearsal space in the South side of Glasgow, providing affordable recording, rehearsal, teaching and workshop facilities to local musicians, ensembles, spoken word artists and songwriters.
I was asked to design a meaningful and strong, yet somewhat open-ended visual identity for the company, that would attract anyone and everyone with musical tendencies in the creative industry. For this reason, I came up with a concept of combining both 'modern' and 'nature', in order to visually communicate the "sounds of Glasgow". The artwork for posters and flyers were based on my old photographs taken of various Scottish landscapes.
