The main purpose of fasting in Ramadan is to achieve Taqwa while holding back the selfish soul through discipline and self-control. So here are some of the tips to maintain spirituality in the month of Ramadan.

Devoting most of your time to Dhikr and Ibadah

In order to receive more blessings of the holy month of Ramadan, one must increase in the amount of worship as well. That means spending most of your time in Dhikr, Ibadah, and Supplication; asking Allah Almighty for forgiveness and success in both the worlds. Therefore, offer Nafal Salah as well. That’s why recitation of the Holy Quran is another important thing one must do for attaining Taqwa in Ramadan.

Observe Taraweeh Prayers

Offering Taraweeh Salah isn’t obligatory but at the same time, it remains among the greatest Sunnah’s of our Holy Prophet (SAWW) during the holy month of Ramadan. That’s why every believer must punctually observe Taraweeh prayers.

Remember that, the Holy Quran should be recited clearly, correctly, and at a normal pace during Taraweeh Salah i.e., don’t hasten in its recitation. And the same goes for all the other Muslims joining Taraweeh prayers i.e., they should listen to its recitation in a respectful and attentive manner.

Asking for the Forgiveness from Allah Almighty

One must keep asking for forgiveness from Allah almighty at all times. However, Ramadan is a month of forgiveness and blessings and thus holds a special status in this regard. Since Allah’s mercy and blessings multiply for the believers during this holy month, one must try to ask for forgiveness from Allah with honest and pure intentions. It’s the only way one can achieve success in this world and in the hereafter as well.
