Commissioned to design a sports trophy, myself and my friend Callum Gwinnell set out to create something unique. The organic freeform structure emulates cardiac muscle fibres- it's machined, heated and hand bent from premium quality Corian. The durable composite sits on a wax finished oak base with inlayed acrylic plaques etched with the victors details.
We set out to explore the flexibility of corian, to use it in a way not explored fully in a commercial context- and look to develop their process further in the future.
