Spread Salaam (Peace) for Palestine Football Shirt

  • Amar Shah

Last year during lockdown, I set up a brand called Spread Salaam (Peace), the concept of which is to make cool stuff and support charitable projects. This is my latest football shirt which is now available via the Instagram account - @spread.salaam The inspiration behind this shirt was the Brazilian football legend Ronaldo and his time playing for Inter Milan in the late 90s. The logo is a play on the iconic Pirelli logo that has donned the shirt for many years. I approached one of the world's largest embellishment producers to make my custom heat pressed badges and negotiated with a local printer to press them. I sourced premier quality shirts from Nike and Umbro sportswear suppliers to ensure the end result was a quality product. For packaging, I wanted to keep it simple but also enhance the unboxing experience by delivering the shirts in pizza boxes, along with a limited edition illustration that I made of Ronaldo. The shirt has been well received and so far 15 shirts have been sold. A percentage of the profits will go to Palestinian charitable projects.
