This has awakened an incentive to pay close attention to what this means for the future of fashion in Africa and beyond. With strong heritage roots in the continent, Studio Stories of Near positions itself as a human-centred initiative driven by fashion as an agent for social change. The idea was born out of a need to facilitate business opportunities in the fashion arena between Africa and the rest of the world. Herein, the studio inspires with visionary explorations through shifts in society and consumer behaviour that are defining the fashion realm of Africa.
Our studio also produces the THE AFRICAN TRENDZINE, which is an biannual digital & print publication for investors, individuals and brands looking to grasp opportunities with or in the African fashion landscape.
Our studio also creates a database of fashion professionals that are contributing to an emerging African fashion industry, a way to create the link between these trailblazers and the global fashion industry.
