A series of maps, which show the career paths of each individual designer, past and present, that has worked at one given design studio. This following map is based on the studio Graphic Thought Facility.
The designers are separated into six sections as follows, founders, creative directors, senior designers, mid weight designers, junior designers and interns.
A year by year timeline is featured at the top with the names of all the designers listed downwards. The gradients of coloured lines represent the position the designer was at that particular time from intern to founder.
The maps reveal a distinct pattern as they illustrate the individual journies of each designer set side by side as they climb the design ladder.
It’s fascinating how intertwined the design industry is, considering its scale scattered across the globe, however we still manage to be so connected with one another.
