BEATRICE VIO - Batrice Bebe Vio is an Italian wheelchair fencer and Paralympic champion. She's a strong and brave young woman, who was able to deal with the drama of life with incredible determination. She is an inspiration for all who lives with diseases or physical handicap. I wanted to represent her while smiling because her smile is so deeply real.
COCO CHANEL - She broke down barriers in the fashion industry for women using masculine wardrobe to express herself and liberating all women from the constraints of the corseted silhouette. She was an example of revolutionary woman.
DIANE ARBUS - Diane Arbus was an American photographer known for her black-and-white portraits. She often photographed people on the fringes of society, including the mentally ill, circus performers and transgender people. Diane committed suicide July 26th 1971 and one year after her death the MOMA Museum devote her a retrospective. She is the first one among the American photographers to be entertained by the Biennal exhibition in Venice.
FRIDA KAHLO - Frida Kahlo was a brave artist able to turn her suffering into inspiration and her defeats in masterpieces. Her works are a proud and powerful scream to the challenge of the life.
JANIS JOPLIN - Janis Joplin was an America singer and songwriter, and one of the most successful female rockstar of her era. She was a sad soul and her extraordinary voice revealed all the melancholy she had inside. Despite her short career and her tragic epilepsy, she was able to leave an indelible mark in five history of rock.
JOANNE ROWLING - J.K. Rowling is a British novelist, better know as "the mom" of Harry Potter. I'm literally fall in love with all wizarding world of HP and I admire her for have creating that. Rowling didn't have a life totally easy, she has to face a strong depression too, and despite her work has been refused more than once, she never lost the hopes and she finally has succeeded in realizing her dreams.
MERYL STREEP - She is one of the most talented actresses, with a strong character and unconventional beauty that makes her really beautiful. It is also very active in the social battles for the environment and women's rights.
PINA BAUSCH - one of the most important choreographer in the world. She gave birth to the Tanztheatre, with her independent company "Tanztheatre Wuppertal Pina Bausch". With her unique style and her elaborate and deeply collaboration with performers, she became a leading influence in the modern dance.
ROSA PARKS - She was an activist in the civil rights movement, she was called "the First Lady of civil rights". Rosa refused to surrender her bus seat to a white passenger, spurring the Montgomery boycott and other efforts to end segregation.
SAMANTHA CRISTOFORETTI - An Italian European Space Agency astronaut, Italian Air Force pilot and engineer and, one of the most important things, the first Italian woman in space
