SWISS Winter Wonderland is just a throw away!

FOUNDRY and SWISS turned a grey and rainy London into a winter wonderland. As part of the Made of Switzerland winter campaign 2017 in the UK, we brought to Londoners a chance to become a child again.
To show Londoners how beautiful and fun the season is in our sunny, snow-covered Alps, we have created Winter Wonderland is Just a Throw Away: an untraditional, innovative and integrated marketing effort which turned the Old Spitalfields Market into a winter wonderland playground.
For three days the 64 square meters setup was staged with real snow and pine trees surrounding a 2×3 meters digital screen with interactive technology such as unity 3D real-time engine and tracking devices.
The screen featured three Swiss guys on a sun-kissed, majestic alpine setting who teased and encouraged passerby to engage in a snowball fight. All they had to do was throw snowballs at the actors on the screen. If the snowball hit one of the actors, the screen would sense it, giving the participant a score towards a prize.
It was an amazingly fun event, attracting more than fifteen hundred participants who had a blast playing to win great prizes such as SWISS chocolate, beanies, sunglasses, 50 GBP vouchers, as well as an eight-day vacation in St. Moritz including business class tickets and ski passes.
