T R A C E S - Project
T R A C E S was my FMP for my Fashion Illustration Degree. This project aims to be a manifesto of the core meanings of fashion and consumerism as a cultural and essential practice of our society, and thus reflect on their impact on the environment and essentially our lives. Questioning the influence of fashion and its relevance, I am going to explore a variety of people’s everyday lives and unveil the relationships they share with material possessions. The goal is ultimately to expose how fashion has outgrown its primary intent and has become a crucial aspect of modern culture. Fashion is not annotating life as we see it, is more about revealing the beauty of diversity and simple details around us.
I hope T R A C E S invites people to consider how fashion and other material possessions should be a part of our existence, but not the purpose of it.
