TADGH - Soup (Live Session)

This live session was the first independent full band live session I orchestrated and produced. This session was all about keeping costs low, capturing great performances and finding a great location. I needed a room large enough to facilitate myself and my crew supplying our own digital recording desk, PA/Backline and lighting. Using the digital desk, we recorded 2 or 3 takes of myself and the band performing the song live. Once we were happy with the audio recordings, we did 3/4 performances - which were all recorded on film. Being limited with cameras, a good chunk of work was needed in the editing stages of the process to colour-correct and align various shots in a visual pleasing manner. All things considered, I'm happy with the product. Nobody involved was a professional in their field. They were passionate and creative individuals that all worked towards a common goal - whilst being able to freely express themselves individually also.
