This was a project where I designed a concept special edition release version of one of my favourite albums.
'Songs from the Big Chair' by Tears for Fears is a classic and after a bit of digging I found out that Tears for Fears are more of a studio band so they like to stay behind the scenes mostly and focus on writing and releasing without really being in the limelight per se.
My favourite track on the album – 'Head Over Heels' – I found to be about loving someone, not knowing how they feel in return and being frightened to tell them incase they don't reciprocate.
And so these combined ideas of hiding behind something came to light and the gold foil/scratch card effect leant itself nicely to help put that message across.
