Tell a Story about Landor

To celebrate the figure of Walter Landor and reinterpret him as a homage to his influence in todays branding and design industry. Find a story worth telling inspired by his friends, his city, his personality or his philosophy. Then find the way to tell it in the most compelling way. I took the story of the first day Landor employees had to move on to their new office, the boat the Klammath. Because the gang plank was too steep to walk on, they had to wait around for the tide to come in so it would lower.Using this as a metaphor for waiting for the tide to come in to start the process of creativity, I decided to link the rhythm of the tide with the process of creativity. Using the visual imagery of the tide I wanted to document the creative process of the project and show through my own process Walter’s philosophy on the rises and falls of the creative design process.

I designed 3 posters each sized at 100 cm x 30 cm with a quote from Walter Landor on the creative process and then designed a booklet explaining how I got to the posters through my own creative process.
