‘The Brexit Plan’, a body of work produced from a combination of archive and self produced imagery. The series responds to a recurring state of job uncertainty within the UK motor industry; which in the lead up to Brexit mirrors the early downfall of the Birmingham based car manufacturer British Leyland in the late 1970s. Through the series I reflect upon parallels in the political state of the UK within the two time periods, responding to the wider role of the British motor industry and the work force that drives it. Working with a combination of photographic, art and design techniques the artist builds upon themes of post-photography and post-truth.
