The Crawford Brief

  • Naomi McGuire

The Crawford Brief was a group redesign project to reimagine the Crawford Building at the University of Dundee as a vibrant social hub welcoming the public and students alike. Our proposal 'Komorebi' took inspiration from the Japanese word meaning 'the light that filters through the trees, light acting as a symbol of knowledge. We explored ways to direct inhabitants attention outdoors and create gathering spaces reminiscent of the natural shelter provided by trees. Komorebi was a group project by myself, Francesca Martino, Songchuan Yang and Zoe Grundy.
