Book design and illustration The Delhi Dispatch is an illustrated book recounting the story of one man’s blind date with the magnificent and terrible beauty that is India. Somewhere between non fiction travel and art book, this collaborative project was specifically designed and created during this year's lockdown period, to raise funds for a charity, Asha, who work with Delhi’s poorest residents. Drawing connections between the current challenges facing Indian society, and the historical circumstances underpinning them, this book offers a fascinating introduction into modern Indian life. The colours of the book - orange, green and white - were chosen to make a visual connection between the author and narrator, originally from Ireland, and India, where the story is set, as both flags share the same colours.
