Fela Kuti is the first name that should come to mind, when thinking about the increasingly popular genre; Afro-beat. By making strides, shifting dynamics and causing heads to turn, Fela's contributions have been considered to be fundamental and nothing short of LEGENDARY. Listening to his music helps my creativity, keeps me on my toes, metaphorically and physically. His lyrics provide a history lesson, shrouded in the composition of various live instruments.
