Reading The Riots A campaign to promote the Guardian’s series on the London and British riots. I used a literal interpretation of the “Broken Britain” metaphor which had come to define the events to generate an arresting visual that could be used across all the paper’s promotions on the series. We worked with Jonathan Knowles to shoot cut glass with a rifle and a timed camera to create the desired effect.
