The Iron Lung

It was 3am and my mind was saying WTF but my body was saying BRING… IT… ON… My love for running took me to Australia for the Blackmores Sydney Marathon. The start line was in Bradfield Park, at the northern end of Sydney Harbour Bridge. It was a sight to behold. Shrouded in the morning mist at first light, its skeletal structure started to show as the sun warmed its steels; while we shed our layers in preparation for the start gun. At 7am, the trigger was pulled and our pacemakers guided us out of the park and on to the bridge, through the forest of metal and out at the southern end into the unknown!
