'The Locals'

I approached one of my first friend's from University who just HAPPENS to be an incredible photographer and asked him if I could use some of his 35mm film shots taken in our university town Lincoln. Mushroom shaped graffiti tags have cropped up all over the city's radius. Josh's rather aptly named series 'Infestation', documents various sites of these tags - I kind of love them despite the general stigma sat around graffiti in city centres. I decided to add in my own conceptual characters, injecting an element of whimsy that was also tied in with assumptions of strangers you might pass in the street, the ones with a glazed look over the eyes staring at their phones; the 'youth' congregating around something incongruous, or the disinterested teenager reluctantly sloping off after their parents.
