The Lost Soul of a Tamagotchi

  • Peter Provis
In this box, the puppeteer channels the lost soul of a tamagotchi, who is confused by its lack of digital interface, and desires for commands from the audience to regain its sense of purpose.
Each member of the audience is given a blank card on which to write an instruction. The puppeteer then has the duration of the previous shows to put the commands into an order and gather props from the store room. This poor creature then interacts with the compere, making a surprisingly moving piece of theatre as it carries out the list of commands with the suffering determination of a deluded servant.

The Lost Soul of a Tamagotchi was performed for adults in Highbury Quadrant Church, and received great praise from the audience.
