All elements on the cover need to be carefully considered and will play a major role in the design which has to communicate a message that resonates with the target audience. “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever” is an album in a trilogy that encapsulates the emotions of young people who are struggling and succeeding, living through all the beautiful and ugly moments of youth.
The use of collage and repetition of lines on the front and back covers of the album is to symbolise the passing of time, the flow of life; the torn edges of personal photographs, glimpses of memories layered on top of each other act as a support network in their own way while symbolising the fragility of life; how all moments, good and bad, come together to make us who we are today.
Bold, tall type is used to reflect encouraging messages throughout the songs in the album, echoing BTS' sentiment to "keep running" and that "it's okay to fall".
