The Night of Solitude - Xhibit 2022 UAL

Janice Kei "The Night of Solitude 寂靜的夜", 2021 Inkjet Prints, Velvet Throw, Candles, Cigarettes So he sits there, alone and privy wishing for somebody, anybody but the lights continue to dim and the air starts getting heavy. Still he prays so dearly, until, finally, it drains him. This series of photos, which was also published on MOB Journal, calls to the emotions of isolation, loneliness and longing, with a time enduring vintage kitsch feel. Instead of exhibiting them on the wall as I originally applied, I have showcased them in an installation, which I believe added to the atmosphere and elevated my piece!
