The River is my thesis project for my MA Communication Design degree from the University of Westminster in London, England. The goal of this project was to imagine an entire metro system for the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan USA where there is no such system. In doing so, the fantasy system can be realized as accessible for everyone. From the simplicity and clarity of the system map down to its dynamic signage; The River is meant to be a system that any person will be able to use with ease. Utilizing technology-forward oriented ideas, this system was meant to be a system of the future.
