The Smalls Film Festival 2016

The Smalls Films Festival 2016 was a celebration of the change that The Smalls this year has been undergoing. The Smalls as a business and community has expanded rapidly and recently their new redesigned website also went online. It seemed only natural that the theme of this year’s festival should be ‘Metamorphosis’. Metamorphosis is also connected to cinema in the sense that the transformation that characters undergo, the so-called character development, is among the most important ingredients in film. The main visual of the festival shows the transformation of an undefined round object into a film reel. The circular shape was then applied as a recurring pattern in the printed programme.
