Theatrical Costume Making

A four month intense theatrical period costume making course studied at the Northern College Of Costume in York. From June until the end September, three costumes where made using a wide range of skills from pattern drafting and cutting both via book references and on a stand, costume construction and learning a variety of different costume finishing techniques.

Costume one: 1830's Mens daywear, this included a shirt, waistcoat, coat, trousers and a cravat.

Costume two: 1880's Women's daywear, this included garments (corset, bustle cage, petticoat) foundation skirt, bodice, bustle, fishtail

Costume Three: 1920's Women's evening gown: undergarment (slip dress) and dress
