These Four Walls

‘These Four Walls’ is an ongoing personal project about living and working in the same environment. Beginning when I moved into my first home, it started by documenting the traces of the people who called our house 'home' before we did and imagining the stories behind them: traces of wall art, a child’s sticker on the wall. As time passes we start to leave traces of our own stories – some fleeting: my dyed red hair in the fabric, the mark from my bowl in the carpet of the stairs where I’ve taken to eating my breakfast; some more permanent: red streaks from varnished nails where I reach for my towel each morning.
