The project required creating a non-narrative moving image that needs to use both analogue and digital elements. I used geometric shapes, circles, triangles and rectangles, to create a 20-second animation. I used stop motion animation with paper cut shapes in primary colours in various sizes for my analogue part. The digital part of the animation is created using computer graphics. Although the project is non-narrative, it is my intention to create an animation about a person growing up from an analogue era through the digital era. 20 seconds can be broken down to roughly the number of years in my life, where the first 10 seconds (or the first 10 years) of my life, I was immersed in an analogue world. The animation later incorporates digital elements after 10 seconds, where it signifies the emergence of the digital elements in my life. As a result, the animation portrays my life that I was born in an analogue period and growing up along side with emerging digital period. For the background music, I recorded a sound when I was in the Tube. I chose to use this sound because the sound of moving train can represent the sound of traveling through time.
