TOLITA is a single origin chocolate entirely made in Ecuador. This project was an internal competition organized by the university, where I was awarded the first prize. The task was to develop a name and a packaging concept for a gourmet product, with focus on its sustainability. The target group is mainly women of an age range from 30 to 40 years old with a good financial background.
The name refers to "Tumaco-La Tolita", which was a Pre-Columbian civilization in Ecuador existing from 10. B.C. to 4. B.C. The pattern and the figures I developed and applied to the packaging are inspired by the style of their ceramics.
