What would a written character sound like other than spoken phonetically? Toneletters is an interactive project on typography with audiovisual effects interplaying sound, patterns of logic to abstractions. Typography and data is no longer represents just as a formal aspect of information, but could be a carrier of endless interactive sound and visual language. http://www.toneletters.com iPad device required Concept, UX Design and Typography by Evey Kwong

Toneletters is also suggested as an installation in public spaces. One of the ideas was to have the moving typo-graphy projected on the wall with a surround sound experience under a control of booth. Additionally as a sketch, letterforms could be projected on the floor through collected content (text) via SMS(s), Twitter or daily news.

The project explores the audio-visualization of letters under a specified musical parameter and context. With moving typography, sound and kinetics, the application allows the user to participate both as a musician and a viewer; with it that the musician can share the abstract text with friends.
