This is my first music video, recorded with Nicola Brignoli at Lab Immagine, Politecnico di Milano.
The video aims to give a view of my friend Domenico’ skills, an almost fourty years old bboy. In the script he says: ”I’m bboy Nico, born 1978. I dance since 1993, reppreseting for Sirbones crew. Black is my colour,my dimension, it’s the neutral enviroment where i can define myself from time to time, set after set ”.
The video’s title and the lighting are just based on this part of the Nico’ character. Furthermore we gave to the video a ninties taste, using some postproduction arrengements as RGB and VHS distortion. The music remixes the lyrics of Soul of Mischief’ “ ‘93 ‘till infinity” (as the year in which Nico started to dance) with the instrumental of Big Daddy Kane’ “Ain’t no half steppin”.
