In a world consumed by images, celebrities have become some of the most influential and powerful symbols within our society. Worshipped as gods, and admired by many, celebrity culture has become more alluring than ever, and holds a lot of influence over what we do as a society. As more people become intrigued by the concept of fame, we are being pulled further into the abyss in which reality and image become intertwined and indistinguishable.
'Trash' is a new magazine that aims to cut through the usual media noise in order to warn you of the harsh but honest truths that lie at the centre of our society. Trash is brave, bold, loud, honest and intelligent, aiming to expose the fake and manufactured nature of our throw-away culture. In this issue, Trash deals with the complex construction of celebrity personas, and the damaging effects these celebrities can have on us.
