Turbine Festival

Turbine Festival held at Tate Modern celebrated the idea of culture as a common wealth. For one day the Turbine Hall became your city, your local, your playground.

The festival included performances from Afrikan Boy, Throwing Shade, The Fish Police and Hobbit;  artist commissions by Yuri Suzuki’s Imaginary Record Shop and Rachel Young’s Crowns of Confidence hair salon. Visitors could learn all kinds of new skills in a range of drop-in activities including how to publish your own zine, how to generate poetry, and how to beatbox to name just a few.
