Twilight (Photo Art)

Twilight Series: The Twilight, a short period between darkness and light, a boundary time which contains elements of both night and day within it and is not dominated by either one. A time when no shadows are possible as the sun is not present. This half-light of morning or evening is a symbol of dichotomy, representing the dividing-line which at once joins and separates a pair of opposites. Tanausu here uses his Imagery to represent a time of calm, of pure peace and tranquillity, the intersection between light and dark, day and night, vigour and serenity, a time suspended between heaven and earth that indicates transition and reflection. Images are representing two twilight states: a morning twilight state before sunrise and an evening twilight state after sunset which marks a hazy, water-colourish tint varying in colour temperature. Shot between the Canaries and England, two places separated by distance but united in this series by Tanausu's desire to find solitude, to explore far corners of the land to connect to nature, in silent retreat, this series foretells life where there is to be death, light where there is to be darkness, hope where there is to be despair.
