This year will be a year that tells the story of African resilience. Not always a story of honor, but one of heritage left behind. A story where sometimes the hero chooses to die for the villian, not for praise or to become a martyr, but because the phrase "umntu ngumntu ngababtu" is in our dna and always appeals to us to be the best versions of ourselves for those around us. A story that breathes life into the statement "UNGAVUMI", because giving up or playing small aren't options when the success of one leads to the upliftment of all. These are stories where making it against all the odds is a norm, not because its easy but because we are just exceptional! It is said that until the lion learns to write, the stories of history will always glorify the hunter, but it's time for us Africans to roar! It's Time to own our narrative and tell our stories our way, its our birthright. Stories were passed down from generation to generation long before we walked the earth, now its our turn. Write your own story of resilience, achieving great things, even in the smallest of ways through your actions everyday and leave Africa in a better place than you found, for those that may follow to walk on the shoulders of giants, cause that's what we are! .
