Upcycled t-shirts

  • Daniela Doe

These t-shirts came from a large selection of a friend's useless clothes, which invited me to help her to reduce the number of useless clothes she has at home. And somehow create something new with that. These are my first upcycling experiences with her. ; We live in times of unprecedented change. Each era is different from the era that goes before. But actually, the era that we live in now is different for a very profound and significant reason. The fast fashion industry produces ~1 billion garments annually. Profits are around 3 trillion dollars per year... Upcycling can help bring these numbers down by preventing the amount of waste that we discard. By upcycling, we remove the need to produce new or raw materials...so by reducing this need, we can cut down on air pollution, water pollution, landfill use, greenhouse gas emissions and all that stuff we should think about. I believe we all know already that climate change is upon us... but complex problems like these can bring the most creative solutions. This is just a small example to inspire you to give new life to your useless clothes.
