"I'd rather smell the fresh sea air of the town that made me"
This 4 week project was influenced by Urban Hiking. An Urban Hike gives us the chance to explore the terrain we live in, to contemplate how we live and interact with the urban space we call home. We break out of the limitations of our daily routines and how they circumscribe our perception of where we live.
For this project I proposed to take a walk around my home town, Bridlington. It's a little seaside nook and cranny. I hoped to gain new and original materials to inspire my 4 week project. I aimed to look at the details and textures in unusual places and I wanted to make myself different to the person next to me. Once I had found my influences, I then started to produce a body of work that was personal and original to me. I was influenced by the beach and a little old fashioned sweet shop at the top of my road.
