Urban Serendipity is Amelia's Final Major Project of her Textile Design Degree. 'Urban Serendipity' refers to unexpected discoveries within the built-up environment, viewed from an unusual angle, in exaggerated scale or demonstrating contrasting surfaces. Mixed-media drawings, experimental processes and a range of different techniques have been combined to achieve a gritty and abstract style. The work demonstrates Amelia's ability to design for diverse surfaces and applications using a range of traditional and digital processes. The outcome is a collection of surface designs that are intended to be used within interior applications.
