Using Balmain as inspiration to create a corset

Recently in my fashion class I created a corset using the inspiration of Balmain in the 1950s. I find a great interest in designing gowns, in particular wedding gowns. I used this image as inspiration. This garment is by Balmain in the 1950s. I am highly inspired by the ‘sweet-heart’ neckline, the embellishments and the pleats that are included to add volume.
