Visual ASMR

ASMR stands for ‘Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response’ and it is caused when you see or hear something that relaxes you, so the sound of nails scratching against a chalk board or something that makes you cringe is the exact opposite. ASMR comes in different forms, however it is quite personal as it affects people in different ways, so what works for you may not work for someone else. This series of colourful images takes me back to art lessons in year 8 where my friend and I would dip our hands in PVA glue and peel it off because we found it relaxing. So keeping that memory in mind, I decided to photograph something that gives the same the relaxing feeling but with a more appealing substance, like paint. https://phesasphotos.squarespace.com/work-1/asmr-w4978
