Visual Identity for 'Boys Are Blue'

Latoya Fits Okuneye approached me to design a visual identity for her 'Boys Are Blue' project. During my design process, I wanted to keep adding context to her project. The light blue which can easily be mistaken for purple summarised one of her main goals, which is questioning masculinity, the androgyny in the colour embodies that. I kept that chain of thought with the repeated male sex signs in the background and purposely gave 'Boys Are Blue' a pale pink, to keep the idea of exploring masculinity alive throughout the visual identity.
