Visual metaphor case studies

  • Barna Imre

Have done an experiment to measure if it is possible between subjective visual connotations to have common ground. More than 20 people were asked to express their associations based on the following visual cues. Turned out, that in some cases 30% percent of the people had similar or even the same connotations. That raises the question, what if visual metaphors can work as language, to express complex concepts? To confirm this wild presumption requires further research.
