In this project I worked on the idea of volume. I was inspired by the neighborhood of Ørestad in Copenhagen. What is especially interesting about this aerea are its particular and unique buildings. Each building plays with the volume in order to change the perception of the surronding environment.
I decided to focus on two specific buildings: the VM houses and the DR Copenhagen Concert Hall. In my handwoven swatches I looked for how the volume can “come out” from a grid and surprise us.
