Since 2007 Hareide Design has been involved in the design of many different Volvo accessories, interiors and exteriors, including a wide range of rims. In 2011 we were chosen as preferred supplier to Volvo with a number of our industrial designers working in-house at the Volvo design studio.
Hareide Design was involved in the development of the Volvo V60 plug-in hybrid, which was released at the Geneva Auto Show 2011. We designed the low turbulence rims, combi-instrument and battery cover. All together we have designed 32 different rims for Volvo. Including the high performance wheel for Volvo S60 and the Libra wheel for the DRIVe series in 2009 In the development of The Volvo Concept You revealed in 2011, we were responsible for material, colour and trim as well as design of rims and other details.
