For the 2015 launch of the new Passat, we wanted to highlight the car’s innovative technology and challenge how customers see the brand.

So we focussed on the features you can’t see, using advanced technology with a human touch to show off the Passat’s invisible innovations.

We imaged what the invisible technology working in and around the Passat would look like if we had a pair of magic goggles. And, inspired by this, we created a projected environment that revealed the invisible technology as a beautiful, intelligent tool that dances around the Passat.

We showed what the car is seeing, testing, calculating and how it responds to the 3D environment it’s travelling through. Our story blended the virtual world with real life story, showing the human benefit of these features.

The launch reached over 11 million viewers and achieved an amazing 95% engagement rate on YouTube.
