Working in Conservative Party HQ in the three years leading up to and during the 2010 General Election, I directed, shot and edited David Cameron's behind-the- scenes video blog “Webcameron.”
I developed a close relationship and level of trust with David that allowed me unrestricted access to him on tour around the UK and on official visits to the USA, China and Afghanistan. Day to day I observed him at work in parliament, spent time with him and his family and filmed him meeting everyone from school children to the Dalai Lama!
Unscripted and often candid, Webcameron had over 4 million channel views on YouTube and changed the way politician's around the world communicated with their public.
It was a fast paced, fascinating job that allowed me freedom as a filmmaker and a chance to clock up hundreds of hours of observation documentary filming that has since become my speciality.
