Wedgwood Live Project 2019

  • Megan Keeling

From the Wedgwood live brief, I chose to do lighting: "Create a one of a kind, or a collection of interior lighting pieces that allow for bespoke customisation." I designed an interchangeable pendant light, made up of two jasperware components. In the larger component, I hand cut Wedgwoods magnolia pattern into the cast, whilst the smaller component had a jasper waste rim, making use of Wedgwood factory waste. This was my first use of waste materials, and the starting point of using waste materials throughout the rest of my degree.
